Subject Summary: Protection of Personal Data in Service Areas such as Counters, Box Offices, Desks

 

 

As a result of the evaluation made within the scope of the notifications submitted to the Personal Data Protection Authority regarding the violations of personal data security in areas where services are provided to the citizens such as counters, counters and desks, in order to prevent the problems experienced in practice;

 

- Postal and cargo services, tourism agencies, customer service departments of chain stores, institutions where various subscription transactions are made, and services such as municipality, tax and population-related transactions, especially in the banking and health sectors, with more than one employee. Regarding the protection of personal data of private sector institutions and organizations, in accordance with Article 12 of the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (Law); To take the necessary technical and administrative measures to prevent unauthorized persons from taking part in sections such as counters / counters / desks, and to prevent service users who are close to each other from hearing, seeing, learning or seizing personal data of each other at the same time,

 

- That this principle decision taken pursuant to paragraph (6) of Article 15 of the Law will be published in the Official Gazette and the website of the Institution and that action will be taken against those who do not comply with this decision within the scope of Article 18 of the Law.
